Books

Do you remember programming before Google?  Remember when the main online resource was MSDN which you had a full local copy of anyway?  Times have changed, there is now a wealth of information online.  Between great resources like CodeProject, blogs, forums, and newsgroups most questions can be answered with a quick search and if not, you can usually ask and get an answer the same day.
But there is a dark side to relying soley on Google: too much information; much of it bad, inaccurate, or out-of-date.  When we know the answer is a simple one, we’re just looking for best practice techniques to solve a common scenario.  In times like this, you just can’t beat a good book.  Here are the primary resources on my bookshelf.
